In addition to having a strategic geographic location that allows connectivity with the Gulf of Mexico and Central America, Campeche, Tabasco and Veracruz concentrate most of Mexico's energy resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Campeche is the main offshore oil and gas producer, followed by Tabasco as the most important onshore crude oil extractor, and Veracruz has the largest deposits with the necessary reserves to guarantee the country's energy sovereignty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, these three states concentrate the most important projects promoted by the current federal government: In Campeche the increase in shallow water oil extraction; in Tabasco the construction of the Dos Bocas refinery and in Veracruz, the development of the Ixachi field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
President Andr\u00e9s Manuel L\u00f3pez Obrador's decision to give a new boost to Pemex's exploratory, extractive and refining activities brings with it a significant flow of resources to this region of Mexico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
